How to Remove Undeletable Gadgets in Blogger?

Some gadgets on Blogger are undeletable from dashboard. However, it is possible to remove them by applying a small change in the HTML source of the Blog. Below is the example of removing an undeletable gadget namely attribution {powered by Blogger}.

1. Go to 'Layout', find the undeletable gadget and click on 'edit'.

2. You don't see 'remove button' there.

3. Now, look at the address bar of the same dialog box and then click on the URL.

4. Unselect the URL by clicking again so that you can take your cursor to the end of the URL at the right side. Remember the last word is the name of the gadget which you are going to delete. Here, the gadget's name is 'Attribution1'.

5. Now close the dialog box and click on the radio button.

6. Go to the 'Template' setting.

7. You should click on 'Edit HTML' there.

8. Click on 'Jump to Widget' radio button.

9. Click on the widget which you are going to delete, i.e. 'Attribution1' in this example.

10. Now you will see html tags with 'locked =true'.

11. Change 'true' into 'false' by typing.

12. Save template.

13. Now the template starts saving.

14. Congratulation! The template is saved.
